Is There Hell?

There is no hell - in terms of burning or suffering eternally in a place of torment forever.

But there is hell - in terms of a painful life review process.

Urantia Book 112:5.9-11 is a good read. The answers are there. One needs to study those paragraphs with great insights in order to clearly understand them. Let me explain some more below, please:

"...You do not enter the kingdom of heaven unless you have been “born again”—born of the Spirit..." - Urantia Book 103:2.1

If you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven unless you have been “born again” - born of the Spirit, then please is it fair to shut out little babies who died before they could really make a real, eternally binding choice?

The Urantia Book Paper 47, Section 2, teaches that children 16 years old and below who die without receiving salvation are dependent on their parents. They would resurrect if either mom or dad resurrects. However, this does not give them automatic entrance into the heavenly mansion worlds to continue their ascension career.

Upon resurrection, these kids are taken to a world in the heavenly realms that is separate from "the seven mansion worlds". They are taken to the transition culture world #1, the world of the finaliters. There, they would continue living and given ample opportunities to choose God, to receive salvation, born again, born from above, or spirit-born.

Those who make the choice to submit wholeheartedly to the will of God, Source, or the heavenly Father, will then qualify to ascend to "heaven" - to the mansion worlds - the seven mansion worlds. Those who refuse shall experience a second death - the death of the soul. There is no resurrection from such a death (Urantia Book 47:2.7).

Now, please, how about those, 17 years and over, who die before making an eternally binding decision to reject God and also those who may have received salvation but gave themselves to ungodly things to such an extent that they were prevented from resurrecting within 3 days after death?

They have to go through a life review for a longer period of time, "... a transaction on the borderland of the physical and morontia realms..." (Urantia Book 112:5.9-11). This "transaction" can be a very painful experience. This is what some people see in their dreams or visions that they refer to as "hell fire".

It is a virtual construct, and it is not an everlasting experience. It is temporary. Final decisions will be made that would lead to either the resurrection of the soul or the annihilation of the soul. This is what our Roman Catholic brothers and sisters are actually referring to when they talk about purgatory.

A simple way to explain this virtual construct, this "transaction on the borderland of the physical and morontia realms" is this: It's like dreaming when you are sleeping at night. Your body is totally inactive, but you are active elsewhere, dreaming. After death, the soul goes to sleep. And you find yourself in this realm. It's like dreaming while the soul sleeps. Some of the experiences there might be pleasant; some might be very painful. It depends on how you live your life. Study Near Death Experiences, NDEs. NDEs are very, very revealing. 💖🙏😇✨🌄
