The Great Tribulation

πŸ’–πŸ™πŸŒ„
Greetings!

The so-called great tribulation has happened already. And may happen again. When followers of Jesus were being murdered left, right, and center, at some point during the Roman Empire, that indeed was a great tribulation.

When Jihadist Muslims did a similar thing in Egypt, Syria, Turkey, etc... ...Those indeed were great tribulations. Even today, some followers of "The Way" - disciples of Jesus, are facing tribulations in some communities around the world.

The Urantia Book reveals that the Biblical Book of Revelation, as we have it today, is missing a lot of information. Portions have been lost. Some parts have been removed; some edited by humans. This is why, as it is today, it's a difficult book to understand.

Urantia Book 139:4.14
"When in temporary exile on Patmos, John wrote the Book of Revelation, which you now have in greatly abridged and distorted form. This Book of Revelation contains the surviving fragments of a great revelation, large portions of which were lost, other portions of which were removed, subsequent to John’s writing. It is preserved in only fragmentary and adulterated form."

To my understanding, the antichrist and tribulation that the Apostle John talked about have already happened. Yes, they may happen again because history can repeat itself. Nevertheless, we are still on course, on a great march towards the era of light and life: Please, read The Urantia Book Paper 55, "The Spheres of Light and Life", https://www.urantia.org/urantia-book-standardized/paper-55-spheres-light-and-life. Thank you. πŸ™πŸ’–πŸ™πŸΎ

Rapture

Question: Please, does the Urantia Book talk about rapture?

Yes, the Urantia Book talks about rapture. However, this might depend on your definition of that word.

In the early years of Adam and Eve here on Urantia, a rapture event occurred where some people who were living on earth were taken away to the heavenly realms. Please, see this:

Urantia Book 76:6.2, "...Many other loyal souls had already been translated at the time of Adam’s arrival, which was attended by a dispensational adjudication of both the sleeping survivors and of the living qualified ascenders."

This is telling me that at the time of Adam's arrival, in addition to the dead who resurrected and ascended to the heavenly realms (mansion worlds), some people who were living, alive on earth - "living qualified ascenders", also were translated or caught up to heaven (mansion worlds).

This is the same scenario the Apostle Paul painted when he talked about a future translation event, a.k.a "rapture" in the Book of 1 Thessalonians 4:16 -17, "For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord."

In other words, what Paul talked about has happened before - in the time of Adam. The translation of people living on earth - "living qualified ascenders" is a phenomenon that may occur side-by-side the resurrection and ascension of the dead - "the sleeping survivors".

"Born Again", "Born of the Spirit", "Born of the spirit"

It is interesting to note that the word, "born again" is not just a Christian word. It is synonymous with the term, "born of the spirit". Before there was anything like Christianity, Jesus made use of both terms. They mean the same thing. Christianity has simply embraced it deeply and shouted it from the rooftops, as it were, the loudest.

For example, in his talk with Fortune, who is popularly known as, "The Young Man Who Was Afraid", Jesus, our Master Son said, "This day, my son, you are to be reborn, re-established as a man of faith, courage, and devoted service to man, for God’s sake. And when you become so readjusted to life within yourself, you become likewise readjusted to the universe; you have been born again—born of the spirit—and henceforth will your whole life become one of victorious accomplishment..." - Urantia Book (UB) 130:6.4

Right there, we see that to be born again is to be reborn, born of the spirit.

The indwelling spirit Thought Adjuster, working with other spiritual influences like the Holy Spirit (Mother Spirit), immerses the soul in the spiritual waters of God. Hence, the term, "baptism of the spirit" comes in play: "...The new birth—the baptism of the spirit..." (Urantia Book 148:4.8)

I find it very interesting to note that the new birth experience or born again experience is associated with the Universe Mother Spirit (a.k.a. Holy Spirit) in Urantia Book Paper 34 (34:6.4, 34:6.7, 34:7.7) and in Paper 103 (103:2.1). In these texts, the Revelators said, "born of the Spirit". That's "Spirit" with a capital letter S. However, in the Jesus Papers, that same experience is narrated with a small letter s for spirit - alluding to the spirit fragment of the Universal Father, our Thought Adjusters. As a result, we see Jesus saying, "born of the spirit"; for example, in his talk with Fortune (130:6.4) and with Nicodemus (142:6.7). In his talk with Nicodemus, Jesus introduced a new term for the same experience. He said, "born from above" in 142:6.4 & 142:6.5.

A key takeaway for me is that the spiritual transaction of immersing the soul in the spiritual waters of God, a.k.a. baptism of the spirit, new birth, born again, spirit-born, reborn... ...is chiefly carried out by the Creative Mother Spirit (via the spiritual circuitry of the Holy Spirit) and the Thought Adjuster, the still, small voice within, the Father fragment. This, to me, explains why the UB Revelators referred to the same experience as, "born of the Spirit" and as, "born of the spirit". Interesting! 😍❤️πŸ™πŸΎπŸŒ

NB:

What Must I Do to Be Saved?
Urantia Book 150:5.1-3

One evening at Shunem, after John’s apostles had returned to Hebron, and after Jesus’ apostles had been sent out two and two, when the Master was engaged in teaching a group of twelve of the younger evangelists who were laboring under the direction of Jacob, together with the twelve women, Rachel asked Jesus this question: “Master, what shall we answer when women ask us, What shall I do to be saved?” When Jesus heard this question, he answered:

“When men and women ask what shall we do to be saved, you shall answer, Believe this gospel of the kingdom; accept divine forgiveness. By faith recognize the indwelling spirit of God, whose acceptance makes you a son of God. Have you not read in the Scriptures where it says, ‘In the Lord have I righteousness and strength.’ Also where the Father says, ‘My righteousness is near; my salvation has gone forth, and my arms shall enfold my people.’ ‘My soul shall be joyful in the love of my God, for he has clothed me with the garments of salvation and has covered me with the robe of his righteousness.’ Have you not also read of the Father that his name ‘shall be called the Lord our righteousness.’ ‘Take away the filthy rags of self-righteousness and clothe my son with the robe of divine righteousness and eternal salvation.’ It is forever true, ‘the just shall live by faith.’ Entrance into the Father’s kingdom is wholly free, but progress—growth in grace—is essential to continuance therein.

“Salvation is the gift of the Father and is revealed by his Sons. Acceptance by faith on your part makes you a partaker of the divine nature, a son or a daughter of God. By faith you are justified; by faith are you saved; and by this same faith are you eternally advanced in the way of progressive and divine perfection. By faith was Abraham justified and made aware of salvation by the teachings of Melchizedek. All down through the ages has this same faith saved the sons of men, but now has a Son come forth from the Father to make salvation more real and acceptable.”

Has Anyone Gone To Heaven?

Yes, Jesus said no man has ever ascended to heaven. But please, what "heaven"? There is the "Heaven of heavens". This is the literal dwelling place of God, our heavenly Father, our spiritual Father. This is actually what Paradise is. This is the HIGHEST heaven. It is the "heaven" of other "heavens". The highest Heaven of all other heavens or heavenly spheres. The Jewish Bible captures this concept of the Heaven of heavens. Please see Deuteronomy 10:14, Nehemiah 9:6, 1 Kings 8:27, and Psalm 148:4.

It takes time to get to the highest heaven after resurrection. You have to go through other heavens - other heavenly realms first. Some of us know of the first seven heavens people go through after they resurrect. Paul, while on earth, had a revelational experience of the third of these seven heavens. It is this set of seven heavens that Enoch and Elijah were translated to; NOT Paradise or the Heaven of heavens. This explains why Jesus said no man has been to "heaven" - to Paradise.

When you understand these things, you shall see that the repentant thief did not go to Paradise on that same day of the Crucifixion. It is literally impossible to ascend to Paradise, the literal dwelling place of the Paradise Trinity, within a day. You cannot even get there within 100,000 years.

There is a human error in the NT Bible's rendition of what Master Jesus said to the salvaged thief. The comma:, should be after the word "today", NOT before. Luke 23:43 is supposed to be: "Truly, I say to you today, you will be with me in Paradise." Some theologians have discovered this human error.

Besides, the Father's presence there has light no human soul can approach (1 Timothy 6:16). You have to learn, grow, evolve, and be prepared for it. You have to become perfect as the heavenly Father is perfect. If not, you will shatter to pieces if taken to the literal presence of the Father immediately you resurrect.

Enoch and Elijah were translated in chariots of fire to heaven (or the heavenly mansion worlds). This spiritual fire πŸ”₯ literally consumes the body of flesh and blood to dust, ashes...

You and I can have a similar experience if we meet the requirements. We have to attain a very high level of combined intellectual and spiritual growth. This is why the Jewish records indicate and rightly so: that Enoch walked with God in a very, very deep way. This led to his translation, for God took him. (Reference: Genesis 5:24) This, my dear, is also what happened to Elijah.

Some people say Elijah was taken to another part of the earth in a windstorm. A windstorm do NOT take people from one part of the earth to another. That's a myth, beloved. Some folks may point to 2 Chronicles 21 to show that Elijah was still on earth after his translation experience. Please, just stop to consider the human errors in the writing of the Bible and also mistakes people make in interpreting what was written. Then, you'll understand...

+ + +

Urantia Book 11:0.1
"PARADISE is the eternal center of the universe of universes and the abiding place of the Universal Father, the Eternal Son, the Infinite Spirit, and their divine co-ordinates and associates. This central Isle is the most gigantic organized body of cosmic reality in all the master universe. Paradise is a material sphere as well as a spiritual abode. All of the intelligent creation of the Universal Father is domiciled on material abodes; hence must the absolute controlling center also be material, literal. And again it should be reiterated that spirit things and spiritual beings are real."

Urantia Book 48:6.23
"You should consider the statement about “heaven” and the “heaven of heavens.” The heaven conceived by most of your prophets was the first of the mansion worlds of the local system. When the apostle spoke of being “caught up to the third heaven,” he referred to that experience in which his Adjuster was detached during sleep and in this unusual state made a projection to the third of the seven mansion worlds. Some of your wise men saw the vision of the greater heaven, “the heaven of heavens,” of which the sevenfold mansion world experience was but the first; the second being Jerusem; the third, Edentia and its satellites; the fourth, Salvington and the surrounding educational spheres; the fifth, Uversa; the sixth, Havona; and the seventh, Paradise."

John Chapter 3 Verse 16

John 3:16, J.N. Darby Translation "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only-begotten Son, that whosoever believes on him may not perish, but have life eternal."

The world needs some more clarity on John 3:16. To BELIEVE IN JESUS is simply to believe or accept his message. This is a belief or faith in his message that leads to the spiritual transformation of your heart, mind, and soul. God gave his only begotten Son DOES NOT mean God sent him to die, without which sins cannot be forgiven.

Jesus himself proved that sins can be forgiven and salvation can occur without him having to die. For example:

The man sick of palsy: Luke 5:17–26

The confirmation of the salvation of the seventy evangelists: Luke 10:18-20

The repentance and salvation of Zacchaeus: Luke 19:1-10

Christ incarnated as Jesus to deliver a message from God the Father to us. He came to provide a perfect revelation of who our heavenly Father really is. He also came to have the full human experience of birth, living, death, resurrection, and ascension. This was a requirement by the heavenly Father, our First Source, that enabled him - Christ (Jesus) to be more just, fairer, more compassionate, more empathetic, more understanding, more merciful, more faithful, etc, of and towards his mortal lowly creatures, in a very, very deep EXPERIENCIAL way. This yields so, so many, many blessings or advantages.

People receive salvation at the cross, NOT really because of Jesus' death, in and of itself. No, please. It is because of the personal, revelational, life transforming encounter they have with God and his love at the cross of Christ. Without this encounter, salvation will not occur, even if you shout a million times, "Blood of Jesus, wash my sins away!" Yes, this encounter can happen at the cross. It can also happen outside the cross.

Please understand that God, our spiritual Father, does NOT input sin or transfer sin from one person to another. Doing so is INJUSTICE. God forgives sin and destroys sin. He does not transfer it. Now, if you say your sins were transferred to Jesus, then some questions arise: How was Jesus cleansed from the sins he took? If he became sin, then how was he delivered from the sin that he became? You see, beloved, the Spirit of Truth speaks clearly: God does not transfer sins.

Ezekiel 18:20 "The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the guilt of the father, nor the father bear the guilt of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself."

All grace!

Impossible to Sin

There must be some valuable reasons why God did not create us such that it is impossible for us to sin. Surely, he could have done that. So please, why did he not do that? It CANNOT be because he does not want us to be robots, without free will. After all, when we shall be spending eternity with him, we shall not be robots; we shall have free will AND we shall not be sinning. So, why not make us that way from the beginning?

There must be some reasons in line with God's eternal divine plan and purpose. In the heavenly realms, there are beings that God created in total, complete perfection. These beings cannot fall; cannot sin; cannot rebel against God. At the same time, they have free will. They are not robots. So please, why is our case different?

Clearly, there must be some EXPERIENCES that can only be had by beings with free will, who can fall into sin. Beings like you and I. Beings with strengths and weaknesses. Beings with frailties. Beings who are so grossly imperfect. Beings who, from the very beginning have the tendency to rebel against God. These beings, as they climb, evolve, or ascend from gross imperfection to divine perfection, go through EXPERIENCES that CANNOT be had through any other means.

This is for their own benefit and the benefit of all existences, including the benefit of those created in total, infallible divine perfection. Meanings, values, lessons, discoveries, growth, development, truths, beauty, goodness, etc, etc, are realized that CANNOT be realized through any other means. And they are needed for some grand plan and purpose both now and in the long, long, long distant future, plus all through eternity. πŸŒ·πŸŽ‡πŸ€πŸŒΊπŸŒΌπŸŒŽπŸ¦‹πŸŒŒπŸ’ŽπŸ’—πŸ™πŸ½✨️πŸ’–πŸ™πŸ»

Reincarnation and Incarnation

Reincarnation In The Urantia Book Paper 46:7.4-5 (Spornagia are in the heavenly realms) "Although spornagia neither possess nor evolve survival souls, though they do not have personality, nevertheless, they do evolve an individuality which can experience reincarnation. When, with the passing of time, the physical bodies of these unique creatures deteriorate from usage and age, their creators, in collaboration with the Life Carriers, fabricate new bodies in which the old spornagia re-establish their residences."

"Spornagia are the only creatures in all the universe of Nebadon who experience this or any other sort of reincarnation. They are only reactive to the first five of the adjutant mind-spirits; they are not responsive to the spirits of worship and wisdom. But the five-adjutant mind equivalates to a totality or sixth reality level, and it is this factor which persists as an experiential identity." Paper 164:3.4 "There was, throughout all these regions, a lingering belief in reincarnation. The older Jewish teachers, together with Plato, Philo, and many of the Essenes, tolerated the theory that men may reap in one incarnation what they have sown in a previous existence; thus in one life they were believed to be expiating the sins committed in preceding lives. The Master found it difficult to make men believe that their souls had not had previous existences." So, according to the Urantia Book, "Spornagia are the only creatures in all the universe of Nebadon who experience this or any other sort of reincarnation." Nevertheless, the Revelators of the Urantia Book did not say reincarnation does not happen in other universes. So, my thinking is that if mortals in another universe can experience reincarnation, then it may be very possible for them to come to our universe and live as mortals on a planet like ours and reincarnate several times. Incarnation In The Urantia Book The Urantia Book teaches that some celestial personalities can and actually do incarnate several times on different worlds: angelic worlds, mortal evolutionary worlds (like ours), etc. It is possible for them to incarnate more than once on a particular planet. This is a case of multiple incarnations. But the authors of the Urantia Book do not use the term, "reincarnation" to describe such experiences. Please see this: Urantia Book Paper 7:5.10 "...The co-ordinate Creator Sons and the associate Magisterial Sons, together with other unrevealed orders of sonship, all partake of this wonderful willingness to bestow themselves upon the varied orders of creature life and as the creatures themselves..." The UB teaches that there are "UNREVEALED ORDERS OF SONSHIP" in the celestial realms who incarnate as other creatures. For example, they incarnate as human beings. The UB does not say they cannot return to the same planet multiple times. My personal understanding is that they can surely return to the same planet and live in the flesh many times. It's possible. The Revelators of the Urantia Book did not go in details with regards to these "unrevealed orders of sonship". However, concerning the Avonal Sons of God, the UB provides more information. It says they come to planets like ours. On Magisterial Missions, they may take on flesh. Sometimes, but not all the time. On Bestowal Missions, they have to incarnate or take on flesh, starting off as babies or adults... "There is no limit to the number of times the Avonal Sons may serve on magisterial and on bestowal missions, but usually, when the experience has been seven times traversed, there is suspension in favor of those who have had less of such service. These Sons of multiple bestowal experience are then assigned to the high personal council of a Creator Son, thus becoming participants in the administration of universe affairs." - Urantia Book 20:2.8 πŸ“– 😍 ✨️ ♥️ The thing is, if there is no limit to the number of times the Avonal Sons can incarnate on planets like ours, then, there may also be no limit to the number of times other unrevealed orders of sonship can incarnate. This may very well be the explanation of some cases that some people call "reincarnation." There are some books that talk about angels like seraphim angels coming to live in the flesh several times on a particular planet. However, I cannot point to any verse in the Urantia Book that confirms this. One thing is certain, a lot, and I mean a lot is going on. But Jesus, in the Urantia Book says clearly that his mortal children that he created "as mortals" do not reincarnate. (Please see UB 164:3.4) Another Interesting Piece Of The Puzzle: Please study the Thought Adjuster papers: Paper 107 to 112. You shall discover that if a mortal makes an eternally binding decision never to follow God, his Thought Adjuster can go to another planet to indwell another mortal. As a result, a Thought Adjuster can live in several mortals. In addition, there are mortals in some planets who are not destined to fuse with their Adjusters. They are destined to fuse with another type of spirit fragment after they die. A Thought Adjuster can serve in the life of two or more such mortals at different times. So, if you have a Thought Adjuster who has lived in different mortals, it is possible for you to tap into the lives of those mortals because some information about them is kept by the Adjuster. When this happens, you may misinterpret the experience, and you may start to think you have lived in the past... ...Hahaha... πŸ˜€πŸŽ‡πŸ€ Cheers! One love! Peace. πŸ’žπŸ™πŸΌπŸŽ‡ - Karo E.K.D.
